Bob Onucki

Bob has worked in mining and mining related businesses for over 50 years in North America. He has developed a large global network in the Mining Engineering side of Business Development related to Mining OEM´s working with global and regional mining and engineering houses and associated mining contracting companies. His speciality is in Account Management, Business Development and OEM customer focus.

He is a Mining Technologist having graduated from The Haileybury School of Mines in 1975. He started his fulltime career in the Engineering Department of a major global mining company after a few years of operating equipment such as drilling, load and haul and mine services.

He extended his career into the world of international OEM’s being involved from the early stages of equipment technology where the mining process was highly dependent on people intervention using manual technology including pneumatic drilling, non mechanized loading and paper tracking. Bob is highly aware of the fully automated and mechanized equipment possibilities that exist today. Throughout his 50+ year in various senior management positions he always found the time to pass on his experience to various mining departments at post secondary institutions in Canada. For this he was awarded the CIM Distinguished Service Award in 2012.
